High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Really, really slow. With kids it was terrible. Because the person that brings the order is not the person who took the order, things got mixed up. One person received a larger salad that should have gone to another person. He was done with his entree before he got his salad. Another person lost the top of her burger bun. Everyone was done before she got a new one. The server just blames the kitchen.

Why review Applebee's? Because I left a terrible review about the one attached to the Mayfair mall, but this one gave us a great experience! Food was fast and delicious and our service was impeccable! I doubt I'd ever chance going to a different location because this one is awesome!

Dirty, bad service, no options that were even remotely vegetarian. I just want some pasta. Why does it have to have chicken in it? And why is my waitress totally unwilling to help me out with that? The only reason this place is still open is that it's open till 1 and it's next to the airport La Quinta. Those are certainly the reasons that I made the mistake of coming here once.

Not sure if this store understands the "Carside to GO", let me explain.... This is where I call I'm an order and expect it to be brought out to my car...... Which is why the person taking the order ask what type and color of car will I be in-------so I park in the designated spot for this process (which usually works out great for this traveling girl) and wait.....and wait....and wait- now given the fact that it is raining out I would understand if someone would have clued me in that this program only works when the weather permits....however I decide that it's the to go inside to see if maybe I am at the wrong location or had made a mistake myself.........not the case after a much too long of a time standing at the bar to get the attention of the barkeeper- so I have most of my order and not all when bar keep ask for sign receipt back, I suggest that she gets the rest if the order and I will be on my way----not my usual experience with AppleB's

Awful experience. Waitress altered my tip amount by putting a 1 in front of my amount. Manager refused to refund and offered an entree which I refused of course. 10 dollars ripped off. Waitress name was Keli S. Will not be back ever.

My boyfriend absolutely loves Applebee's, but I have always been more hesitant on it, since it reminds me of other restaurants such as Chili's, TGI Friday's, etc. I have been to this particular location at least five times now, and each time the experience has ranged from good to bland. Unless you are drinking wine (since they don't actually make the wine), your drink will be completely watered down and you might wonder if there is even any alcohol in it. They do attempt to have some weight watcher meals on the menu, but all of them have been extremely bland. I will say that the last time we went, I had their new Mexican Margarita Queso platter and it was pretty good, and I was pleasantly surprised. The service is always slow and at times even downright rude. At our last time there, our server basically ignored me and only spoke to my boyfriend. He also left our dirty plates on the table and just let us sit in our filth. I definitely only come here for my boyfriend's occasional cravings, but I would never come here by myself.

I ordered take out online yesterday with the Carside To Go option. I parked in a designated Car Side To Go space at 6:20 for my requested 6:20 pick up. The lot was packed which must mean the restaurant was packed as well. I was promptly greeted by a server who said it would be few minutes. 10 minutes later my food was brought out, I was handed my receipt and I was on my way. So far so good. I get home and open the containers and find that the bourbon chicken and shrimp has no sauce or seasoning and a very scant amount of crispy potatoes. The coleslaw was omitted from the riblet platter and there is a huge amount of burned crispy potatoes thrown on top of the ribs. The Wonton tacos seemed fine. The coleslaw was not a big deal, but the chicken and shrimp without any seasoning or sauce was. I don't have any "Bourbon St. Garlic and Thyme Sauce" on hand to fix the dish myself, so I called the restaurant to register a complaint. The manager I spoke to wasn't exactly rude but she was brusque. As told her about the issues she interrupted me with her own commentary on whether what I was unhappy about was or was not a problem. I had to ask her to let me finish. She offered to have the food remade if I was willing to drive back. I was not able to do that. Then she offered to mail me a gift card. That was unexpected and I accepted. If things had ended there I probably wouldn't be writing this. She ended the call by asking me if I had taken time to look at the food with the server before I left. Obviously not. First of all why would I? Secondly if I did actually pull out all of the containers in the front seat of my car and note problems, why would I drive all the way home to call and complain. She informed me that if I had done they could have fixed things for me then and there. Agreed, however that's not how carry out usually works. That's why it's very important to make sure carry out orders go out correctly. That's why it's a great idea to have someone check the orders before they are brought out. She asked if my server had asked me to review the order because she tells all of her servers to do that even Carside orders. Nope. That didn't happen. Please picture me in my car and server standing next to the car pulling carry out boxes from the bag and juggling them back and forth. I was left feeling that she insinuated that I scammed them by leaving and then complaining and that I had probably gotten the server in trouble. The Wonton Tacos were really good. Highlight of the experience.

Stopped in at 9pm on Saturday and the place was PACKED! We had a very friendly server and our food was good. Started with bonelness buffalo wings - far better than BW3s! The ordered the new Four Cheese Mac with Honey Chicken Tenders - it was delicious.

Service was not slow as some have said. The bar and kitchen were working at a great pace on this Saturday night. The food is improving. This chain suffers from a bad reputation but the menu has some good options. The food is prepared correctly. At places like this, realize that is gold. One thing that can be done poorly is fish. My salmon was done perfectly. Give them a chance. There are certainly worse options in the area.

I really like this place. For the most part their servers are very nice, their (manager) I believe always goes around the new tables to make sure everything is going well. I love their pastas and burgers. I recomend this place for a chill, casual night (:

They do not work with people with dietary needs. I wanted to order my food special and they wouldn't let me, the waiters thought it was a joke. I have dietary needs and have a card from my doctor stating this but they didn't care. My son also has needs but they did nothing to work with us. I will not be back.

Not having any luck in Oak Creek. Didn't want to go back to Erv's for dinner so walked over here. VERY bad idea. Drinks looked fine, deserts too. Now my meal. Ordered their steak & wedge salad. Should have taken a picture. Funny how small the cut of OVER COOKED steak was. The cook put a small pile of cooked spinach on what I thought was the other3/4s of the steak, but no. It was literally 3 bites. Now the plate was very hot & they must have let it sit under a heat light or something as the bottom 1/3 of the wedge was wilted. Best thing on the plate was the spinach. Maybe this is due to they had a full house of trivia players. I mean it was almost 9 pm when I went in & expected the place to be empty. Guess trivia is what their good at. . . deserts/drinks.

When its late out and looking for something decent, applebee's Neighborhood Grill is right around the corner. Service was always great, staff was friendly food was okay...Last time I went my chicken was burnt and covered by crushed tortilla chips. It was good, but tasted a little burnt, no big deal. Your typical Applebees, i'll be back again. Love their special they offer 2/$20 with an appetizer, must try!

I'll never go here again, no matter how convenient. I was in Milwaukee visiting friends and family and stayed at the La Quinta Inn next door and purely out of convenience ate at this Applebee's. Where do I even begin how awful it was. The table was filthy, we had to ask for our silverware and napkins, and had to ask for water. My menu was gross and missing a few pages. Took them 10 minutes to finally bring me a high chair for my son ... That I had to ask for a second time. Service was below average. My chicken was burnt. I unfortunately lost my phone there ... It was too much trouble for them to look. Finally after 10 and I'd gotten my infant son to sleep, they called my room to let me know they'd found it. While relieved, it would've been nice if someone could've brought it to the front desk at the hotel, literally feet away, so I wouldn't have to strap up my son and walk over in the cold rain at 10:30 at night. So, I walked over in the morning and had to wait for them to bring it out ... Not that I mind waiting ... What was irritating is that the gal getting my phone decided to chat with her friend for awhile while I was waiting for her to get my phone. Clearly I was not a priority nor did she value my time... Just poor customer service in general. Normally I've kind of come to expect poor customer service ... Just kind of seems to be the norm now, but I'd at least like good food. Not good, dopey staff and just all around poor and dirty.

My first visit to an Applebee's was hopefully my last. My parents usually don't favor chains for Saturday night dinner. And I figure this may be the last visit to one for a long time. This A-bee's is chock full of your Packers memorabilia from the mid-90's. The recent "Glory Days" is all A-bee's could muster? Our party of six had to wait twice as long as any party of four, because this place does not cater to parties larger than 4. Well, there were two possible tables, but waiting for Milwaukeeans to leave the trough is like; well I said it already didn't I? The mostly young and large wait staff is polite enough but the Youth shows through. We waited for 45 mins. and weren't offered so much as a free appetizer for our troubles? I'm with my grandma for crissakes! Throw us some chicken fingers at least! Once we were seated, our waitress was attentive enough. But she thought the drink special for the night was a Pomegranate Margarita and it turned out to be a martini. Once we got our food it was brought out by a different waitress that my mom and I noticed had the most unmelodious voice ever heard. She embodied my whole "stuck in Applebee's" feelings into vocal form, then equalized out any bass and cranked up the Nasal. Just put the food down and run away, please! She couldn't even call my dish by it's name "Cajun Lime Tilapia" and called it "Weight Watchers". Yes, I ordered off the Healthy menu, thank you. I give one extra star above banal crapulosity, because at least we all liked our meals. Grandma take me home, grandma take me home, grandma take me home...

This is a cozy, laid-back place to enjoy some good food and a draft beer. The pasta and burgers are great. I'm addicted to the Asian chicken wrap and fries.

Disappointing, to say the least. My wife and I enjoyed the "2 for $20" at a Racine A-bees, so thought we'd try this one for a take-out since I work near here. Our order was repeated back to me just fine, but the meal we got wasn't what we ordered. The appetizer was completely wrong and our small steaks were cooked all the way to just above raw when we ordered medium well. Since it was take out, we were pretty much stuck with it. When I called the manager, she apologized profusely, promised to send us a certificate for another meal, and indicated she would look into it. The certificate arrived as promised. We tried it again with the certificate. The service was inattentive, the meal average, and the wait for our food was much longer than I would have expected for not being busy. I think we're going back to Racine if we do A-bees again.
